Frenzy Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Frenzy is a good name for this delightful New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc; that’s what it creates for your senses. It’s very young, and the color is almost as pale as tap water, but there is nothing watery or limpid about the smells and flavors+gooseberry; cat, green bell pepper, grapefruit and a twist of lime. Very fresh, very zesty and unmistakeably New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It is a typical example of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, full of natural grassiness and acidity. Unlike rounder styles of California Sauvignon Blanc which sometimes spend time in oak, New Zealand styles are more often fermented and aged in stainless steel, which allows the wine’s citrusy nature to shine through. The Frenzy Sauvignon Blanc demonstrates this, with its notes of peach, grapefruit, lime and melon.
This wine would pair well with shellfish, soft cheeses like Brie, Camembert, and goat, green veggies like bell peppers and peas, and tomatoes and other
acidic foods.
