Woolundry Road Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

The Woolundry Road range of wines have been sourced from the cooler regions of Southern Australia, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced mostly from the cool Limestone Coast. It offers a grapy nose with notes of black cherry, plum, and blackberry. Supple-textured and tasty, it has some underlying structure and a lengthy finish.

FOOD PAIRINGS:

Lamb Chops with Garlic and Olive Oil, Pan-Roasted Duck Breasts with Onions and Crisp Pancetta, Spiced Pork Tenderloin with Wilted Arugula.

The purple-colored 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up spice notes, black currant, and blackberry aromas leading to a savory, elegant wine with plenty of straight-ahead flavor, excellent balance, a bit of structure, and a medium-long finish. It is an excellent value. – 88 Points Jay Miller – The Wine Advocate
